During my recent jaunt to Stein am Rhein, I had the pleasure of staying at Garni-Hotel Muehletal, and it was just the cozy retreat I needed amidst the festive Christmas market bustle. Tucked right at the entrance to the historic old town, its location is a dream for not just travelers but also fellow fashion aficionados who appreciate the charm of small towns. Although basic and predominantly functional-with no lift-my small yet quiet room featured ample power outlets and an inviting warmth that countered the freezing temperatures outside. Each morning, I woke up to a delightful buffet breakfast, including some festive chocolates that added a bit of holiday magic to my day. As a fashion photographer, I always appreciate a bit of beauty in my surroundings, and the serene garden and terrace offered the perfect backdrop for some early morning inspiration before diving back into my work. Anna, our lovely host, was the cherry on top of this experience; her warmth and hospitality made every stay feel special. For anyone looking to explore Stein am Rhein's charming market while savoring an uncomplicated yet comfortable stay, Garni-Hotel Muehletal is an excellent choice. Plus, with secure storage for bikes, it's also an ideal stop for cycling enthusiasts. I'll certainly be returning, especially during future winter getaways!
